This time was a short visit to the capital of Thailand - Bangkok.
Short, yet quite packed and interesting, memorable.
Imagine a trip full of Thai traditional massage , foot massage, shopping, Thai cuisine, temples, Chao Phraya River, tuk-tuk.....
There are soo many things to experience in Bangkok.
If have chance and right "kaki", definitely will go for a longer stay, hehe....
First thing you'll see is the new airport, Suvarnabhumi Airport (pronounced Su-wan-na-poom).
The airport is really modern looking and clean.
But heard there are some problems with the land it sits on, which was previously swamp area thus prone to flooding and cracks were found on taxiway during inspection (OMG!!!)
Anyway... have reached home safely, hehe.....
Let's see some photos
For Siamese culture, they treat their king like God.
You can see mural like this everywhere.
Wat Phra Kaew, one of the most famous temple in Bangkok, which houses the Emerald Buddha.
So wasted din get to enter, as I was wearing bermuda shorts.
So guys, if u plan to visit Wat Phra Kaew, remember to wear long pants and t-shirt/shirt with sleeves.
Wat Phra Kaew - Can only see it from far :~(
Wat Phra Kaew as background - looking disappointed and "beh syiok"
City Pillar Shrine (San Lak Muang)
A gigantic gold plated Reclining Buddha in Wat Pho, the largest temple in Bangkok.
The buddha measures at 46m long.
I look so petite in front of the Reclining Buddha :p
Next spot is Wat Arun - Temple of the Dawn
Best known for a porcelain encrusted 79 meter central pagoda (phra prang) which sparkles in the sun, situated opposite the Wat Pho, on the other side of Chao Phraya river.
Took a boat to get to Wat Arun
Quite challenging to climb up the pagoda.
Steps are extremely steep and narrow.
Below are photos of Wat Arun i found online.
Soo.... nice.
Took a photo in hotel before leaving for KL
Saw something interesting in Bangkok.
Electric Car in Chaktuchak Market
Colourful taxi - so easy to identify
